Second-Half Run Leads Kent State Past Men's Basketball, 70-61
    Youngstown -- Youngstown State went eight-and-half minutes without a field goal in the second half, and Kent State turned a 40-40 game into an insurmountable 13-point lead in a 70-61 win on Wednesday at the Beeghly Center.
    YSU had tied the score for the third time in the second half when it missed eight consecutive shots from the floor as Kent State built a 53-40 lead with 7:40 remaining. The Penguins steadily worked the margin down to six with just over a minute left, but Kent State hit seven of its final eight free throws to seal the victory. Release | Stats | Slocum Audio
Men's Basketball Seeks 300th Beeghly Center Win Against KSU
     Youngstown --  The Youngstown State men’s basketball team continues it homestand when it takes on in-state rival and Mid-American Conference member Kent State, Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Beeghly Center. Tipoff is slated for 7:35 p.m. and is the second half of a women’s and men’s basketball doubleheader. Release  | Notes
Penguins Use Balanced Attack to Topple Hiram, 81-41
     Youngstown -- Junior Vance Cooksey scored a season-high 18 points and freshman Eddie D'Haiti recorded his first double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds as four players scored in double figures to lead the Youngstown State men's basketball team to an 81-41 win over Hiram on Sunday afternoon at the Beeghly Center.

Men's Basketball Opens Home Slate Against Hiram Sunday
     The Youngstown State men’s basketball team opens the 38th season of basketball at the Beeghly Center when it host its Hiram, Sunday, Nov. 15, at 4:05 p.m.
    This is the 31st meeting Youngstown State and Hiram in series that dates back to 1928, but is the first contest between the schools since 1989. Youngstown State leads the all-time series, 25-5. Release | Notes
Hot-Shooting Xavier Topples Men's Basketball, 83-57
      Cincinnati, Ohio -- Junior Vytas Sulskis led the Penguins with 12 points and senior Sirlester Martin added 11 but Xavier shot an impressive 58.3 percent in the first half en route to an 83-57 win over the Youngstown State men's basketball team on Friday evening at the Cintas Center.
    The Penguins fall to 0-1 overall while the Musketeers improve to 1-0. Release | Stats
